Based in Saskatchewan, FRL Minerals is a family-owned and operated mineral rights and royalty company with interests extending into exploration and production.

Based in Saskatchewan, FRL Minerals was founded in the early 1950s by Frank R. Lee, grandfather of our current President, Lee Lasby, and great-grandfather of our Managing Director, Tom Carefoot.
Born in Moose Jaw, Lee is a fourth generation farmer based in Regina. Growing up, Lee farmed with his father and sister. Today he farms with his son. Lee's knowledge and experience in working in Saskatchewan led him to study Biology and Geography at the University of Regina before joining the family business in 1987. He served as Vice President of FRL Minerals for over 30 years before becoming President in 2018.
Born and raised in Regina, Tom helped out on his family farm prior to pursuing his post-secondary education. He received a Bachelor of Science from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 2004. Tom began his career at FRL Minerals in freehold mineral management. As Managing Director, he oversees the company's approximately 24,000 acres of fee title minerals in southeast Saskatchewan.
